06:15 Departure from Shumen 5 km.

08:45 Departure from Veliko Tarnovo from South Bus Station in the direction of Mezdra. Visit to Cherepish Monastery "Assumption" - located on the banks of the river Iskar. The monastery was built during the reign of Tsar Ivan Shishman. The famous "Cherepish Four Gospels" with gilded fittings was also made here. In the rocks above the monastery was built an ossuary on two floors, whose chapel is dedicated to "St. John the Baptist. The remains of frescoes from the 16th - 18th century and the 19th century have been preserved in the Cherepish Monastery, and a collection of icons has remained since then. A corner of the folk poet Ivan Vazov has been formed in the holy monastery.

Departure for Kaleto Archaeological Complex. The fortress is located on a rocky massif above the bed of the river Iskar. The hill is naturally protected and located in a strategic place, where important roads connecting the Danube plain with the Sofia plain, Eastern with Western Bulgaria have crossed. Traces of two fortified settlements from the end of the Stone-Copper Age and the Eneolithic, which were destroyed in natural fires, have been preserved. This time span covers the end of the 5th and the first half of the 4th millennium BC. Numerous finds from the excavations of "Kaleto" show that at the end of the Stone-Copper Age the village near Mezdra flourished as a craft center. One of these finds - "Sanctuary of the Tour", has no analogue in Bulgaria. The history of "Kaleto" continues through the centuries, when there was a Roman fortification from the middle of the II century, a pagan cult center from the III century and a fortified settlement from the IV - VI century, which continued to develop during the late Roman and Byzantine. period.

Visit to the Ledenika cave. It is about 300 meters long and has ten halls. The largest is the Concert Hall. The Passage of Sinners leads to it. Only he who has a pure heart can go through it. Once the cave was full of water, but gradually the water disappeared and only one small lake remained - the Lake of Desires. Legend has it that if someone dips his hand in an ice-cold lake in a cave and wishes something, his wish will come true. In winter and spring, this hall enchants with its ice-crystal decoration, hence the name of the cave. During the first few meters, one has to move low bent through the Sliding Pass to reach the small hall, which has an almost round shape, and after another narrowing one finds oneself in the Great Hall, also called the Concert Hall. In it you will see unique rock formations: the Crocodile, the Head of the Giant, the Falcon, Santa Claus, the house of Grandma Yaga and others. From the big hall through iron bridges you pass through the Small and Big precipices, through the corridor "Curtains", and you reach the beautiful "White hall". Here you can see the mother-in-law's tongue, the giant's wife, the elephant, the bathing girl. The highest point of the cave is called the "Seventh Heaven" - accessible only to the most avid tourists. The temperature in the cave varies from -7 ° С to -15 ° С, to 8 ° С inside. The air humidity is 92%. The animal world is poor: bats, cave beetles, woodlice, spiders. Only here you can see the insect "Ledenikus" or "Svetlomrazets". Optional visit to the Regional History Museum with an art gallery in the town of Vratsa with an exhibition covering 9 halls and 3 corners, which trace different stages of development of the region. It starts with the Thracian presence in northwestern Bulgaria. Here are stored the deposits of the Mogila mound and the largest discovered treasure in our lands - the Rogozen treasure. Hotel accommodation. Free time.

Day 2:

Breakfast. Departure for Belogradchik. Arrival and visit of the Belogradchik rocks, which are included in the list of 100 national tourist sites of Bulgaria with their beautiful rock figures, reaching in places up to 200 meters in height and divided into 3 main groups. The rock formations near the town stretch for 30 km in length, 3 to 5 km in width and up to 200 m in height. They were formed about 230 million years ago. A walk between the two uniquely combined landmarks - the unique natural phenomenon Belogradchik rocks and the ancient fortress "Kaleto", which is one of the best preserved fortresses in Bulgaria, protected from inaccessible rocks. The Belogradchik fortress is one of the best preserved in Bulgaria. It was founded a century by the Romans and functioned continuously until the Serbo-Bulgarian War in 1885. In the Kozarnika Cave, 5 km from Belogradchik, the oldest traces of human presence in Europe were found, 1.5 million years old. Visit to the Magura Cave - one of the longest in Bulgaria - about 2,500 meters of galleries are known. It is carved in the limestone Rabishka mound. It consists of a main gallery, oriented southeast - northwest and three side branches. The individual halls have colossal dimensions - length over 200 m, width more than 50 m and height over 20 m. Unique in the cave, besides the unique formations, are the rock paintings of one of the earliest solar calendars found so far in Europe. It is painted on the walls of the sanctuary hall and it marks at least 5 feasts as well as 366 days. The cave is also used for the only in Bulgaria production of champagne wine, which matures under natural conditions similar to those used in the production of French champagne. Departure for Venetsa cave near the village of Oreshets, municipality Dimovol. Venetsa is one of the most unique and beautiful caves in Bulgaria. It has been declared a natural landmark because of its extremely beautiful colored calcid formations and ice crystals resembling flowers, figures and animals. Color formations are explained by scientists with the lack of oxygen, in which water crystallizes, and different colors are obtained from the diverse composition of clay and rocks. Accommodation in a hotel in Belogradchik. Free time. Overnight

 Day 3:

Breakfast. For those wishing to climb with a balloon over the Belogradchik rocks, it will start early in the morning. This day we will start with flying a balloon / tied /. The ascent will take place in Belogradchik in the area of Panairishteto, which is located below the fortress Kaleto.

Walking pass to Lepenitsa cave, located in a beautiful and majestic valley between two rock ridges, dotted with many remarkable rocks. The valley is filled with such captivating peace that tourists call it the "Valley of Tranquility".

The cave is on two floors, which is atypical. The slab between them creates a large veranda. The vault is a perfect semicircle. Inside it is clear and convincing evidence that it is artificially shaped. But science defines it as a natural entity. This has prevented the city from claiming to have an outstanding tourist attraction. The curve of the arch controls the sound waves and thus creates a remarkable acoustics under it. Even the bat's flight gives a three-dimensional sense of its flight. And the sounds outside are heard with regulated force, so that they are heard, but not intrusive. An environment for clear hearing is formed in the cave, which is due to the perfect vault. And its eastward orientation is in line with various religious practices. All visitors to the cave are impressed by the peace that reigns in it. Visitors have the feeling that they are looking from the inside out through a huge eye. The other feature of Lepenishki pech is the cut three hemispherical notches on the back wall. Only one of them grows moss, which means that only it is illuminated by the sun. Probably this system of clearings and notches serves to account for an exact date. It is believed that it is December 25, when in ancient times the birth of the sun was celebrated. In the last few years, the Lepenitza cave has enjoyed great popularity. / transition goes and returns about 2.5-3.0 hours /
